Comments
This comfortable compact cruiser is ideal for extended cruises in the Scandinavian archipelago. The yacht was designed by the legendary designer Peter Norlin and is based on the IOR racing formula of the time with features such as a short waterline, wide hull, sloping stem and narrow stern. This small yacht offers a unique sailing experience with a surprisingly high level of comfort for its size (for two people, with restrictions also for four). The Avance 245 (a further development of the Accent, with which Norlin became world champion from 1969 to 1971) is stable, manoeuvrable and can be sailed single-handed in all conditions. Technically perfectly equipped, continuously maintained and immediately ready for adventures in nature: ideal for sailing beginners looking for freedom on the water.
- Engine: Beta 10 inboard from 2013, serviced annually by the owner. The engine is very reliable and in excellent condition.
- Rig: Bryt main and genoa from 2014 (old but still easy to sail), gennacker, furling system for genoa. Foresheets and mainsheet block renewed in 2023. Shrouds renewed in 2022, forestay inspected, jib sheet newly laminated in 2024. Rig in very good condition.
- Hull: The underwater hull was completely sanded down in 2021 for environmental reasons in the Baltic Sea and rebuilt with hard antifouling. No bumps, osmosis-free!
- Electronics: Modern chart plotter (B&G Vulcan 9, 2021) with active Navionics+ licence (EU645L Scandinavia/Germany), as well as log/sounder (Airmar DST810, 2022) and Simrad TP20 autopilot.
- Electrics: The boat has a 60 Ah SMF engine battery and a 100 Ah AGM service battery. The electrics have been completely renewed (with Victron components) for shore power, solar cell, inverter (230V), USB, shunt (Bluetooth) and fused (incl. residual current circuit breaker).
- Galley: Kerosene cooker (Dometic Origo 3000), railing gas grill (Weber Q1200), refrigerator (Dometic CD 30) and 55-litre drinking water system (with activated carbon filter, 2021)
- Saloon: The saloon has a height-adjustable table. A total of four berths (two of which are in the forward berth) were upholstered in 2015. There is a Jabsco pump toilet (2022) on board with a 20-litre holding tank. The boat is watertight!
